Jim Walsh

Jim Walsh has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland and a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law. Prior to coming home to Omaha, he served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years. Currently, he is the Recruiting Director for Truck Center Companies here in Omaha and has served in that capacity for 20 years. Jim has worked extensively to promote workforce awareness and preparation for careers in the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics sector.

Walsh has a very strong interest in awareness/engagement, career readiness and workforce development. His volunteer experience includes serving as chair of the MCC Diesel/CDL Advisory Council, SkillsUSA Steering Committee, Heartland Workforce Solutions board member, Tucker Center Career Readiness Advisory, Bryan High School TDL Advisory Council, Westside High School CTE Advisory Council and several committees with the Nebraska Trucking Association.

Walsh is interested in serving on the MCC Foundation board because he values the programs and services provided by MCC which stimulate economic growth and workforce development.
