Learning Center staff helping a student on the computerMISSION

The mission of the Learning and Tutoring Centers is to provide assistance with building academic skills, conducting research and utilizing resources in order to foster learning and empower individuals in the college community to achieve their goals.

The Learning and Tutoring Centers offer a friendly, supportive learning environment to assist with the learning needs of students across all areas of the college's curriculum.  Computers, printers and software resources are provided for student use.  LTC staff are available to assist with computer navigation and software programs. Drop-in tutoring is provided during regularly scheduled hours for challenging courses such as chemistry, accounting and foreign languages. For the most up-to-date tutoring hours and locations, check the online tutoring schedules or come into one of our Learning and Tutoring Centers to see a hard copy. See our resource page for academic handouts, helpful websites and instructions for free software downloads.

We offer a friendly, supportive learning environment at five locations, with day, evening and weekend hours available. Please click on one of the links below to find out hours and specific services offered at each LTC.

The Success Program

The Success Program services are also housed in the Learning and Tutoring Centers. These services help students engage in effective learning behaviors and connect to other college supports. Academic Coaching, Success Workshops and In-class Presentations are some of the academic supports offered by The Success Program.

Anyone enrolled in a credit, noncredit, continuing education, AE, ESL or GED course at MCC may use our facilities. We also help prospective students prepare for assessments.
