I want to enroll. What are my next steps?

  1. Schedule an appointment for MCC's ACCUPLACER Assessment testing (if you have not completed the testing within the last two years). MCC offers testing services at many locations and at various times. Gather a copy of your high school transcript, your ACT/SAT scores if you took them, your ACCUPLACER scores if you took them within the last two years and any unofficial transcripts from other colleges/universities you may have earned credit at in the past.
  2. Begin your educational plan and meet with an advisor. You can set up an appointment at any Student Services location or by calling 531-622-5231.
  3. Determine how to pay for college. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Be sure to use MCC's school code (004432). Even if you do not think you qualify for federal grants or loans, it is important to fill out the FAFSA; MCC has an internal scholarship system that requires this form also, and not all of the scholarships are need based. You could be eligible for those, and it is a good idea to plan ahead.
  4. Get the next steps to enrolling and joining the MCC family.

I've completed testing and met with an advisor. What do I do now?

  1. Register for classes.
  2. Make arrangements to pay your tuition and fees. MCC students can pay for their tuition and fees through financial aid (if you qualify), by using the FACTS Payment Plan or by using cash, check or a credit card.
  3. Attend classes. You can find the time and location of your classes on your My Services account or by searching for the classes in the online schedule.
