Don't know your PIN?

A library PIN is needed if you wish to access your library record or request a book or DVD listed in the MCC/Omaha Public Library catalog.

  • If you have an Omaha Public Library (OPL) card use your OPL PIN.
  • If you don't have an OPL card use your MCC PIN. By default your PIN is either your birthdate (mmdd) or the last four digits of the telephone number you provided to MCC. It is not the same password you use to sign on to My Way, Canvas, or student email.

Don't know your PIN?

Follow these steps if you do not know your PIN. Please do not contact the library for your PIN as PINs are encrypted and cannot be viewed by staff.

Option 1: Reset your PIN yourself

You must know the email address on file in your library record. Otherwise, go to Option 2.

  1. If you are already at the Library Account Login screen, click on Need a PIN? or Forgot your PIN?. If you are at the catalog search screen click on My Account (upper left) or Login (upper right).
  2. Enter the letter M, followed your 7-digit MCC ID number (or your OPL barcode, if you have one) and click on Submit.
  3. A message from notice@omahalibrary.org will be sent to the email address listed in your library account. NOTE: This is not necessarily your MCC email address. If you provided a personal email address to either MCC or OPL, be sure to check that account too.
  4. Click on the link in the email message.
  5. The next screen will allow you to create a new PIN.
    1. Enter the letter M, followed by your 7-digit MCC ID number (or your OPL barcode, if you have one)
    2. Type a new PIN
    3. Click on Submit. As long as you entered your ID number correctly, the catalog will accept your new PIN.

Option 2: Ask Library staff to delete your current PIN

  1. Ask library staff to delete the current PIN in your library record.
  2. After your PIN has been deleted, go into the catalog and click on My Account (upper left) or Login (upper right).
  3. The next screen will allow you to create a new PIN.
    1. Enter the letter M, followed by your 7-digit MCC ID number (or your OPL barcode, if you have one)
    2. Type a new PIN.
    3. Click on Submit. As long as you entered your ID number correctly, the catalog will accept your new PIN.
