IT Internships

Job and Internship Guide

MCC Information Technology Department

Internships are a great way to build new skills, boost your resume and explore different careers. Internships can also lead to a full-time job. In fact, 7 in 10 internships do! MCC collaborates with many area businesses and organizations to offer internships and early job opportunities to INFO students. Many jobs are paid and allow for flexible scheduling as well.

Check Your Readiness

INFO students who meet all of the following criteria may be eligible for an internship:

  •  Completion of Course Requirements (listed below)
  •  Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
  •  MCC Faculty Recommendation
  •  Current Resume

Students who meet the criteria above are invited to make an appointment with the MCC INFO Internship Coordinator to discuss opportunities. Please email your updated resume to mdfulton@mccneb.edu at least 2 days prior to your scheduled appointment.

Minimum Course Requirements

Complete the INFO Core and courses listed below for your program of study. Additional courses may be required and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

For example, if your area of study is Desktop Support Specialist, you should complete INFO 1000, 1002, 2805, 1005, 1030, and 1125 prior to pursuing an MCC-sponsored internship.

Data Center Operations w Server Administration

Desktop Support Specialist

  • INFO 1005 IT Essentials PC Repair I

Cisco Network Technician
