Fire Science Technology
Overview
The Fire Science Technology program at MCC prepares those looking to enter the fast-paced, exciting world of firefighting.
Fire Science Technology students will receive hands-on education about fire safety, fire prevention, first aid, providing public education, utility emergencies and more. They must be physically fit and ready to interact with people in a crisis. Students will gain the knowledge to become an effective and skilled first responder.

In lieu of the previously-required application packet, immediate registration or waitlisting is available upon your appointment with the Fire Science Academic Advisor after these three topics are discussed:
- Proof of being at least 18 years of age
- Previous academic successes preferred as a 2.0 GPA minimum
- Confirmation that you meet the Technical Standards for the program
