MCC to host Veterans Day Celebration Nov. 10


OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will host a Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, Nov. 10, 11 a.m.-noon, inside room 120 of the Industrial Training Center at the South Omaha Campus, 27th and Q streets.The event will feature United States Air Force veteran Robert D. Rose as keynote speaker. 


The MCC Veterans Day Celebration will also include a posting of the colors and a POW/MIA display and presentation. The event is free and open to the public.

About Robert D. Rose

Robert D. Rose is a 28-year veteran of the United States Air Force. Since retiring in 1982, Rose has been in constant service to his community. His involvement includes stints on boards of directors with the Nebraska Urban League, the North Omaha Branch of the YMCA and more. A resident of Bellevue, Nebraska, Rose has chaired the Bellevue Planning Commission, the Bellevue Public Schools Education Assistance Committee and was chairman of the SAC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. Rose has also been involved with the Tuskegee Airmen locally and nationally for more than 15 years, serving as the president of the local Alfonza W. Davis Chapter and national vice president of the Tuskegee Airmen Inc.
