Artist famous for DC, Marvel comic illustrations comes to MCC gallery

OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will host an opening reception for “In and Out of Sequence” on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the Gallery of Art and Design at the Elkhorn Valley Campus, 829 N. 204th St. The opening reception will include a discussion with famed artist Bob Hall at 7 p.m. The exhibition runs through Jan. 6. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Hall is famous for his illustrations of Spider-Man and other popular DC and Marvel characters. The exhibition at MCC will bridge the transition from his illustrative works to his new autobiographical paintings. Hall recently earned his Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Gallery of Art and Design's hours are Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The mission of the gallery is to provide a creative and academic experience for students, faculty, staff and the visiting public in an intimate campus setting.
