OMAHA, Neb. — The recipient of Metropolitan Community College’s 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award is Jon Queen. Queen was presented the award at the 7th annual MCC Foundation Scholars Reception on May 2. The award is given annually to a graduate whose achievement, service and commitment both to MCC and the community is exemplary.

Queen graduated from MCC in 2012 when he received his associate degree in Business Administration. As a former TRiO student, he worked as a TRiO tutor after graduation before he earned his four-year degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Queen is currently a deacon at his church and a community leader.
