Summer teen leadership camp offers week of learning, fun


FREMONT, Neb. — Area teens will have the opportunity to build valuable leadership skills and have fun while doing it at Metropolitan Community College’s Life Launch Leadership Camp for Teens course, a noncredit offering at the Fremont Area Center, 835 N. Broad St. The week long camp begins July 17 and runs through July 21, lasting from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day.


The camp is designed for students to discover their leadership skills and team building capabilities. Participants will learn how to communicate and work collaboratively with other teens as leadership cornerstones such as ethics, communication and organizational skills are taught. Students will also engage in improve acting and discuss what makes a great leader.


The week will also include a tour of MCC’s Fremont Area Center, where students will explore what the College has to offer. For more information or to register, call 531-MCC-5231.
