MCC students win silver team award at national SkillsUSA competition
OMAHA, Neb. — Two MCC students won the silver medal in the Audio/Visual Production competition at the 2017 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Medalists Charles Ames, Omaha, and Shirocco Williams, Omaha, were part of a group of 23 other MCC students that traveled to the competition after qualifying through the Nebraska competition.
The national conference took place June 19-23 and was the 53rd installment of the competition. Other MCC students competed in competitions related to plumbing, welding, photography, automotive repair and digital cinema. More than 16,000 students from across the United States participated in this year’s event.
