MCC’s Career and Academic Skills Center to offer new Success Workshops


OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will offer Success Workshops beginning Monday, Aug. 21 at the new Career and Academic Skills Center on the College’s Fort Omaha Campus, 32nd street and Sorensen Parkway. The free workshops are geared towards prospective students and the community who want to learn more about career services, college preparation and life skills. 


Attendees of Time and Stress Management, noon-12:45 p.m., in room 224 will learn how to balance all aspects of life such as work, school, study time and social time. The Device Petting Zoo workshop, 5:30-6 p.m., in room 224 will help those unfamiliar with electronic devices get acquainted with laptops and iPads. Other workshops include Career Services: Discover MCC, Accuplacer Preparation and FAFSA Assistance. The workshops will run through Sept. 2. For a full listing and schedule, visit
