MCC teaming up with area partners for Books are Treats


OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College has partnered with Metro Transit Omaha and AIT Worldwide Logistics to bring Books are Treats to the Old Market on Sunday, Oct. 28, 1-4 p.m. at 11th and Harney streets. Books are Treats is a family event offering free books to readers of all ages. 


Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume. Other activities in the Old Market on Sunday include trick-or-treating, pet costume contests and other fun activities for families. 




Metropolitan Community College, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, is a comprehensive, public community college that offers affordable, quality education to all residents of Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties. Founded in 1974, MCC has the largest enrollment out of six community colleges in Nebraska and is the second largest postsecondary institution in the state. MCC serves more than 40,000 unique credit and noncredit students.
