Media alert: MCC Horticulture students host farmers’ market tomorrow

 

What: Metropolitan Community College Horticulture students and staff will host the annual MCC Farmers’ Market tomorrow at the Institute for the Culinary Arts. The market will have flowers, vegetables, honey and other goods grown and produced by the students at the College’s Fort Omaha Campus. Proceeds from the market will benefit MCC’s Horticulture program and its students.  

When: Tuesday, July 17, 3:30-5 p.m.

Where: The lobby of the Institute for the Culinary Arts, Fort Omaha Campus, 32nd Street and Sorensen Parkway.

 

Background: The market is operated by the MCC Horticulture students and staff in the Small Market Farming program. The market will be held every Tuesday from July 17-Aug. 14, 3:30-5 p.m. MCC culinary students will also offer specialty culinary items on a week-to-week basis.
