Art exhibition featuring MCC faculty work opens Jan. 17

OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will host an opening reception for “Coalescence: an exhibition by MCC Arts Faculty” on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 5:30-7 p.m. in the Gallery of Art and Design at the Elkhorn Valley Campus, 829 N. 204thSt. The exhibition will run through Feb. 20.

The exhibition will feature artwork from MCC's Arts faculty members. While instructors are often busy in front of a classroom, this showing of their artwork will highlight their personal works from creative efforts outside of academia.

The Gallery of Art and Design’s hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The mission of the gallery is to provide a creative and academic experience for students, faculty, staff and the visiting public in an intimate campus setting.

All exhibitions at MCC are free and open to the public. For more information about this exhibition or the gallery, call 531-MCC-1306.
