MCC to host Cinco de Mayo Celebration


OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will host the 19th annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Thursday, May 3, noon-1:30 p.m. inside room 120 of the Industrial Training Center at the College’s South Omaha Campus, 27th and Q streets. The celebration includes live entertainment and keynote speaker Christine Chavez, Civil Rights leader and granddaughter of Cesar Chavez. 


Seating for the event is limited. Reservations close on April 25 or when full. General admission is $20. Live music will be provided by Compañía de Danza de la Universidad Euro Hispanoamericana de Xalapa from Veracruz, Mexico.
