MCC Fremont location offering iPhone, dance and dog obedience courses

 

FREMONT, Neb. — Fremont area residents can brush up on their dance skills with noncredit courses Ballroom Dance for Beginners and Advanced Ballroom: Swing at Metropolitan Community College’s Fremont Area Center, northwest corner of 9th and Broad streets. Both classes are offered for six weeks, running from Jan. 10 until Feb. 14.

 

Basic Dog Obedience is designed for dogs more than 16 weeks old. In this course, dogs will practice recalls, leash manners, “sit” and “down” commands, and staying in a sit and down position with controlled distractions. Dogs at the first class must be wearing a collar, and owners must bring a four-to-six-foot leash. Owners are encouraged to bring plenty of their pet’s favorite treats. Proof that the dog has had rabies, distemper and parvo vaccinations must be provided by owners. The course runs every Saturday from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25, 9–10 a.m.

 

Explore your iPhone is a class that will assist participants in getting the most out of their iPhone. They will learn about the unique functions and features, how to customize settings, download apps, use Siri and more. iPhone not provided.  Please visit mccneb.edu/password to obtain username and password prior to the class, which takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on March 4.
