About the ISS
International Student Services serves prospective and current F-1 visa students. ISS reviews applications for admission for prospective F-1 students and provides general immigration advice for F-1 students.
Naomi M. Greelis-Mattos
PDSO & Academic Advisor for Int'l Students
Naomi has been assisting international students in various capacities since 1999. Naomi received her Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Relations with a focus in Higher Education Administration - Student Affairs - International Education Exchange from Lesley University. She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Studies and a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Central College. She enjoys helping F-1 students succeed in their personal and educational goals at MCC.
Ernestine F. Hawkins
International Student Services Associate
Ernestine is a graduate of Metropolitan Community College. She's worked with international students for over 11 years. During her 18 years at MCC, she's worked as a receptionist in Counseling/Advising and as a staff member in Central Registration. She worked in Enrollment Management and assisted with the process of reviewing international students files and processing I-20s. She also worked in Admissions to admit students into various health programs.
Iryna van Dyk
DSO and International Student Services Specialist
Iryna has 13 years of experience teaching ESL and World History at the University in Ukraine, 6 years of experience working with International Students. First as an International Student Exchange Visitor Specialist in Ukraine and then as an Education Abroad Advisor in South Africa.
Iryna received her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), she holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degree in TEFL and Spanish and Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History.
International Student Services Clerk
Priya is a student at Bellevue University working on her Information Technology degree majoring in Programming. She works as the International Student Services Clerk who helps prospective out of country and transfer students complete their application process and answer basic immigration questions. She really enjoys working at the ISS office which allows her to meet and interact with people from around the world, learn more about their culture and become able to explore new ideas and prospects.
Michelle is a currently a student at MCC seeking an associate degree in General Studies with a focus on Human Services. She has worked in the ISS office as a Work Study student since 2013. Michelle assists the office with various administrative duties and she also assists the student’s as much as she can. She really enjoys being an employee in this close knit office and appreciates the positive/professional work environment.
