Master Plan Firm Finalist Interviews

On Thursday, Nov. 5, the Board-approved screening committee for the request for qualifications for firms interested in developing a revised Facilities Master Plan for Campuses and Centers will be interviewing the four finalists selected earlier this month by the Committee.

All staff are invited to attend these open interviews that are scheduled on the Fort Omaha Campus as follows:

Thursday, Nov. 5
1. JJR, 9 a.m., FOC, Bldg. 7, Room 107
2. Oslund and Associates, 10:30 a.m., FOC Bldg. 10, Room 110
3. RDG, 1 p.m., FOC Bldg. 7, Room 107
4. Sasaki Associates, 2:30 p.m., FOC Bldg. 10, Room 110

You will be asked to complete an evaluation sheet for each of the interviews that you attend.  While you are encouraged to attend all of the interviews, that may not be realistic so plan on attending as many as you can.

If you have questions about the interview schedule or the process, contact Katherine Holian in the President's Office at 457-2750.

Criminal Justice Class Places at Competition

MCC instructor Diane Sjuts took her Criminal Justice class to Columbia, Mo., last weekend to compete in the Mu Gamma Gamma Criminal Justice chapter and participate in the regional conference. Students Carly Brock placed first in the Academic Competition and Christina Paul placed first in Physical Agility.

Weekly Green Tip

Unplug unused electronics! An average home uses 600 lbs. of CO² a year just to leave electronics (TV, stereo, chargers, game players, etc.) plugged in. 75 percent of the electricity used to power home electronics is consumed while the products are turned off. This can be avoided by unplugging the appliance or using a power strip and using the switch on the power strip to cut all power to the appliance.
