Larry Johnson - MCC Foundation Board Treasurer
Larry Johnson is the President of the Nebraska Trucking Association headquartered at 1701 K Street in Lincoln.
The Nebraska Trucking Association is the statewide trade and lobby group for the trucking industry in Nebraska. It represents the interests of over 850 member companies in every community across the state. Their primary concerns are safe and efficient highways for commercial vehicles and sharing the road with the traveling public.
Larry has been in the passenger and freight transportation industry for over 35 years. He has a very broad and varied background involving both domestic and international trade. He is currently an Advisory Board member of the Midwest International Trade Association and the Nebraska Logistics Council.
He is a past chairman and current board member of the Neighborhood Centers for Greater Omaha as well as a Board member for the Nebraska Safety Council in Lincoln, and serves as a steering committee member on “Future Force Nebraska”, a statewide project to create training and job opportunities for high demand, high wage employment clusters across the state.
He is a member of the Nebraska Diplomats and works closely with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development to attract new distribution, warehousing and logistics projects from around the world to the state. He has also served as the President of both the Lincoln and Omaha Transportation Councils and has been named Transportation Person of the Year - Omaha 2002/2003 and Lincoln 2005/2006.
He currently represents the trucking industry on the State Emergency Response Commission and serves as an appointee on the District 4 Court of Appeals Judicial Selection Committee.
