NAWIC - The Greater Omaha Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction offers annual college scholarships. 21st Century Librarian Scholarships - The Nebraska Library Commission awards scholarships to Nebraskans for coursework and degree programs in library studies. Scholarships are funded by state aid funding appropriated by the Nebraska Legislature, granted and administered by the Nebraska Library Commission and through the Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act and the Librarians for the 21st Century Program. A woman is eligibile to receive consideration for a loan if: 1) She is recommended by alocal chapter of the P.E.O. Varies P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education - This grant program provides financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families. They must demonstrate a need for financial assistance with their educational expenses to improve their marketable skills for employment. A woman is eligible to apply for a grant provided she: 1) is sponsored by a P.E.O. chapter, 2) is a citizen of the U.S. or Canada, 3) has had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life, 4) is within 24 consecutive months of completing her educational goal, 5) is not enrolled in a doctoral degree program, e.g., educational, law, medical or clinical, 6) and is enrolled in an educational p[rogram leading to employment or job advancement. www.peointernational.org
