Nebraska

Bellevue University

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is $500. The scholarship is a one time grant that every member receives. To qualify present membership card. A minimum 3.5 GPA and an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree are required.

Chadron State College

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
These awards provide a tuition waiver of resident tuition for one year, up to 16 credit hours per semester. The awards are renewable for one additional year for a total of 64 credit hours provided the recipient maintains a 3.25 GPA while enrolled at Chadron State College. Applicants must be Phi Theta Kappa members at their current institution, complete and return the general academic scholarship application and indicate that they are seeking consideration for the Phi Theta Kappa tuition waiver, earn a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and an A.A. degree prior to their enrollment at Chadron State College, and enroll full-time at Chadron State College immediately following their A.A. graduation.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Five scholarships of $10,000 each will be awarded to Phi Theta Kappa members. Student must have a 3.5 GPA and a minimum of 24 credit hours. Student must enroll immediately following at two-year college. Scholarship is renewable if a 3.0 GPA is maintained. Non U.S. citizens, part-time students and students with previous bahelor's degrees are not eligible.

Phi Theta Kappa Community College Transfer Scholarship

Award Amount: Full tuition for two years

Deadline: Awarded on a rolling basis

Award Criteria:

1. Community college graduate

2. Cumulative GPA of 3.5

3. Induction into Phi Theta Kappa Society

4. Submitt a copy of Phi Theta Kappa Society membership card

5. Attend the main campus in Peru Nebraska and register for and complete a minimum of  12 on-campus hours each semester

The total cost for attending Peru State College for one year is approximately $12,500.00, which includes tuition, room and board, fees, and books and supplies.

M.M. Simons for Phi Theta Kappa
One $500 per year scholarship available. A minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum of 45 semester hours (30 hours applicable towards UNL degree) successfully completed by March 1 are required. Applicants must submit a one page personal statement highlighting their Phi Theta Kappa and college involvement to UNL Scholarship contact by March 1. Non-U.S. citizens, part-time students, and students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible. The student must enroll immediately following two-year college.

A limited number of renewable $1,000 to full-tuition scholarships. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited community college entering Wayne State College. Scholarship is renewable for one academic year provided the recipient maintains a 3.25 GPA on 24 credit hours per year. Non-U.S. citizens, part-time students, and students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible.

Iowa

Buena Vista University

Buena Vista University Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
An unlimited number of Phi Theta Kappa scholarships will be awarded to admitted students who hold a current PTK membership. The award will be added to the student's BVU transfer scholarship, making the total $8,500-$9,500. Eligible students will have earned an associate's degree and must enroll fulltime at BVU immediately following their community college experience. Students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible. A cumulative gpa of 3.5 at the time of awarding is required. The award is renewable for one additional year by maintaining a 3.0 cumulative gpa at Buena Vista University. Prospective students must submit a Phi Theta Kappa scholarship application to be considered for this award. Applications are available in the Office of Financial Assistance or on the Buena Vista University website.

Iowa State University

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Up to fifty $1000 per year scholarships. A minimum 3.5 GPA and 45 transferable credit hours are preferred. Part-time students and students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible. Verification of Phi Theta Kappa membership by a chapter advisor is required. The scholarship is renewable for a second year by maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Fifteen renewable $1000 per year scholarships. A minimum 3.5 cumulative transfer GPA and 30 completed credit hours (at the time of application) are required for scholarship consideration. Part-time students and students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible. The student must enroll immediately following two-year college. Phi Theta Kappa membership must be verified by April 1. The student must apply for admission by March 1. A 3.0 cumulative GPA at the University of Iowa must be maintained in order to renew the scholarship.

Kansas

Kansas State University

K-State Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
10 nonrenewable $2,500 scholarship awards. The K-State Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship guarantees a total of $2,500 in K-State scholarship assistance. Part-time students and students with previous bachelors degrees are not eligible. Students must enroll at K-State immediately following their attendance at a two-year college. To be eligible you must:

  • Submit a Kansas State University scholarship application by February 1
  • Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.75
  • Transfer 24 or more hours to K-State
  • Strong record of leadership on Chapter, State/regional and International Level

A recommendation chart can be printed off, completed and then faxed to the Assistant Director of Admissions for consideration of the scholarship referenced above. K-State Transfer Scholarship
Kansas State University awards $1000 nonrenewable scholarship to Kansas Community College transfer students. To be eligible you must: submit a Kansas State University scholarship application by February 1; Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5; Transfer 24 or more hours to K-State.

It is our goal to award this scholarship to every student who is eligible.

KU Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
An unlimited number of nonrenewable $2,000 scholarships available. A minimum of 3.75 GPA, active participation in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and 24 transferable credit hours are required. Part-time students and students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible. The student must submit a transfer application and letter of recommendation from his or her Honors Advisor. All scholarships are competitive.
