Admission Information

oncourse - A program for guaranteed admission to the University of Nebraska


All UNL students need to satisfy High School core requirements. Metro courses can be used to satisfy a High School deficiency that you may have. Metro courses that are used to satisfy a High School deficiency will not transfer in as college-level credit. Once a student has completed 18 quarter/12 semester hours, ACT scores are no longer required.


Metro students may apply for admission to UNL even if they are currently enrolled in Metro courses at the time of UNL’s admissions deadline.


Students applying for admission to UNL must submit the following documents:

  • Application – can be completed online at https://www.applyweb.com/apply/unl/
  • Official high school transcript
  • Official college transcripts from all colleges attended
  • $45 application fee
