MCC to host Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 11

OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will host its Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. in room 120 of the Industrial Training Center on the College’s South Omaha Campus, 2909 Edward Babe Gomez Ave. The celebration will feature keynote speaker Lieutenant Colonel Michael A. Ingram and a posting of the colors by the Omaha South Color Guard.

Following the program, there will be a reception and tours of the new Veterans Center, part of the South Omaha Campus renovation project. The Veterans Day Celebration is free and open to the public.

About Lieutenant Colonel Michael A. Ingram

Lieutenant Colonel Michael A. Ingram is the Commander of the 55th Force Support Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue. He oversees 70 facilities and more than 600 employees. Lt. Col. Ingram enlisted in the USAF in 1991 and served nine years as an aerospace physiology technician. He attended and commissioned through Texas State University ROTC in 2001. Lt. Col. Ingram is married to Sherry Susi, who has also served in the USAF and retired from active duty following 21 years of service as a master sergeant in the medical administration field.
